Quick Jyotish is a small horoscope chart program which is a desktop version of our Online Chart generator with the addition that it uses a planetary calculation engine that accepts dates from 1000-2300 AD and saves charts in the Quick Chart format (importable into Jyotish Tools for Windows and Pocket PC). This is a preliminary version (beta). It is based on the Fast Light Tool Kit verson 2 http://www.fltk.org which is a cross platform library for Windows, Linux, and Macintosh. FLTK2 may be a little more compatible with different versions of Linux than wxWidgets. This version works on Ubuntu 6.x, Freespire, Knoppix, Fedora 6.0 without any additional installation. Printing is not currently available in FLTK2.

This is a preliminary version (beta). It is based on the wxWidgets library http://www.wxwidgets.org/ which is a cross platform library for Windows, Linux, and Macintosh.

Click here to download. This version was compiled on Ubuntu 6.06 (Debian) using version 2.6.0 of wxWidgets. You will need to install this version of wxWidgets or higher if it is not already installed on your system. Check your system package installer to see if it has already been installed or to download and install it.
